Thank you very much for Joining us in honoring a remarkable legacy of interfaith and cultural unity! For over two and a half decades, the Houston Iftar has brought together faith leaders, elected officials, business professionals, and community members in a shared celebration of Ramadan.

Established in 1999, this annual gathering is hosted by the Sister City Associations of Abu Dhabi, Baku, Basrah, Istanbul, and Karachi, alongside the ISGH -Islamic Society of Greater Houston and other esteemed partners.¹

As one of the largest interfaith Iftars in the United States, this event fosters dialogue, collaboration, and mutual respect among Houston’s diverse communities. It serves as a powerful reminder that respect, compassion, and unity transcend differences.

The 25th Annual Iftar Dinner in Houston was graced by the presence of Mayor John Whitmire, highlighting the city’s commitment to inclusivity and understanding. This cherished event radiated core human values of respect and dignity, transcending barriers of race, color, and religion.

Let’s continue to celebrate our diversity and promote unity!
